Sam Brancale named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for July 1-7

Sam Brancale (Eden Prairie, Minn./Pinnacle Wrestling Club) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for July 1-7.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Brancale won his first Triple Crown this past weekend after capturing Greco-Roman and freestyle titles at the USA Wrestling Kids National Championships in Orem, Utah. Brancale won his titles in the Schoolboy division at 77 pounds.
Brancale went undefeated at the Schoolboy National Duals last month in Indianapolis. He finished a combined 18-0 in Greco-Roman and freestyle to help his Minnesota team sweep the team titles in both divisions.
