A talented team of U.S. men’s and women’s freestyle wrestlers will compete in the Ibrahim Moustafa Ranking Event in Alexandria, Egypt, Feb. 23-26.

The U.S. roster includes 21 men’s freestyle athletes and 14 women’s freestyle. This event scores points toward the UWW Ranking Series standings, which sets the seeds for the 2023 Senior World Championships, and provides prize money to the medalists.

The women’s freestyle team includes 11 members of the current Senior National Team, which includes the top three at each weight class.

No. 1 athletes on the tour include 2022 World champion Dom Parrish (53 kg), 2019 World champion Jacarra Winchester (55 kg) and two-time World silver medalist Kayla Miracle (62 kg).

Included on the tour are No. 2 ranked Alyssa Lampe (50 kg), Alex Hedrick (57 kg), Jennifer Page (62 kg), Forrest Molinari (65 kg) and Skylar Grote (68 kg). Lampe is a two-time World bronze medalist, and Molinari was a 2021 World bronze medalist. Grote will be moving up to compete at 76 kg.

The No. 3 National Team members Amanda Martinez (57 kg), Emma Bruntil (65 kg) and Marilyn Garcia (68 kg).

Women’s freestyle competes on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.

Past women’s college champions on the team are Parrish, Winchester, Miracle, Hedrick, Page, Molinari, Bruntil, Garcia, plus Alex Glaude (68 kg).

The men’s freestyle team includes eight members of the current Senior National Team, which includes the top three at each weight class.

Included on the tour are No. 2 ranked Chance Marsteller (79 kg), Zahid Valencia (86 kg), Nate Jackson (92 kg), Kollin Moore (97 kg) and Nick Gwiazdowski (125 kg). Gwiazdowski is a two-time World bronze medalist. Moore has dropped to 92 kg.

The No. 3 athletes from the National Team are Joey McKenna (65 kg), Tyler Berger (70 kg) and Mike Macchiavello (97 kg).

The team features seven past NCAA champions: Valencia, Gwiazdowski, Macchiavello, plus Nick Suriano (57 kg), Nahshon Garrett (61 kg), Anthony Ashnault (65 kg) and Vincenzo Joseph (74 kg).

Men’s freestyle competes on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26.

The competition includes Greco-Roman on Thursday, February 23 and Friday, February 24. The U.S. will not have any Greco-Roman entries in this event.

Alexandria is nine hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time zone. All of the action will be streamed live on FloWrestling.
