Old Hat Creative takes to the mat in support of USA Wrestling and its members

One of the most successful National Governing Bodies in American sport has chosen Old Hat Creative to develop a comprehensive strategy to support continued growth in participation and increased attendance at its national events.


USA Wrestling, which represents more than 247,000 wrestlers, coaches, officials and volunteers at the grassroots level and regularly produces World and Olympic champions in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling at the international level, has enlisted Old Hat to develop strategies that will effectively drive continued increases in participation, event attendance and fan engagement.


Among the specific areas of focus for Old Hat are the following:

Creative Assets — an audit of the entire suite of creative assets currently being utilized by USA Wrestling to support athlete recruitment and fan engagement;

Digital / Social Media Assets — an evaluation of USA Wrestling’s digital / social media platforms and recommendations to encourage further increases in member and fan engagement; development of a Digital / Social Media Guide, templates and content calendar;

Event Experience — An audit of the USA Wrestling event experience, including development of a revised Run of Show Guide that will further enhance the entertainment experience for fans and the competitive environment for participants; also, recommendations regarding how best to leverage digital technology and tools to further enhance the overall entertainment experience for fans;

Brand Assets — Development of a creative platform and supporting elements such as consumer marketing materials, social media templates, posters, publications, in-venue graphics and other creative assets to bolster the USA Wrestling brand
