45 state champions and 37 nationally ranked girls already registered for National Recruiting Showcase in Las Vegas, April 28-29

The 2023 National High School Recruiting Showcase for girls will be held at South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nev., April 28-29. This is one of the most prestigious event each year for girls high school wrestlers.

The field is just starting to heat up, with 45 state champions and NHSCA All-Americans registered, as well as 37 athletes who were ranked in the most recent National Girls High School Rankings.

Karlee Brooks of Arizona is the first of the 2022 Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase champions to register to seek a repeat title. Last year, Brooks, who is ranked No. 5 in her weight class nationally, won the 112-pound title. A student at Valiant College Prep, Brooks is entered in the 117-pound weight class this year.

This event is contested in freestyle, which is the style which women wrestle in college. It is only open only to those who qualify to compete, based upon success in specific competitions.

Girls High School National Recruiting Showcase (born 9/1/2003 & After, plus enrolled in 9th-12th grade):
• All High School State Champions (any year)
• National Prep Champions (any year)
• Placer at NHSCA Virginia Beach High School Nationals (any year)
• 2022, 2023 USA Wrestling National All-American Placer 1st-8th: (Preseason Nationals, Boys and Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase, Women’s Freestyle Nationals, Girls and Boys Folkstyle Nationals, and 16u/ Junior Nationals)
• 2021/2022/ 2023 UWW U15 and U17 National Placer (Must be currently enrolled in High School)

There is still time for qualified athletes to register for the Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase.

This event is one of competitions which count towards the Junior and 16U Triple Crown for girls.

This will also be a major event that will affect the National Girls High School Rankings, which are scheduled next in early May.

The Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase will be one of the nine different events held during the week of the Open Wrestling Championships, April . The High School National Recruiting Showcase for girls will be held alongside the U.S. Senior Nationals for women.
