All athletes who are eligible to compete in the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase in Cedar Falls, Iowa this weekend must register for the tournament by Wednesday, March 30 at 12:00 Noon Mountain Time if they wish to be considered for a seed in their weight class.
Register for Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase
After the deadline, entries will be evaluated, and there will be seeds selected and announced at each weight class in the National High School Recruiting Showcase. There will be at least 10 seeds at each weight class, as appropriate. Seeds will only be selected for the Showcase, not for the other divisions.
If a seeded athlete does not make weight, or does not attend the event, he will be taken out of the seeding and the athletes behind him moved up accordingly.
Automatic qualifier for the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase are:
• All high school state champions (any year)
• 2022 high school state placers
• National Prep champions (any year)
• All placers at NHSCA Virginia Beach High School Nationals (any year)
• Top-six placers at any 2022 High School Recruiting Showcase Qualifier
Please note that 2022 high school state placewinners was a category added for automatic qualification last week.
The 2022 High National High School Recruiting Showcase for boys will be held at the UNI-Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, April 1-2. This will be held alongside the annual USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championships, serving as the elite division for high school boys. The championships of the competition will be featured on the raised platform.
The number of boys state champions or NHSCA All-Americans who have registered is now over 110, which is more than attended the inaugural Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase back in 2021. A list of registered state champions and NHSCA placers in the field will be updated tomorrow.
Please note that any high school boy who does not qualify for the National High School Recruiting Showcase can compete in the High School Open division, and/or the 16U division, if they meet age requirements.
