Position: USA Wrestling General Manager, Greco-Roman Program
Reports to: USA Wrestling Director, National Teams High Performance
Position Summary: USA Wrestling is seeking a highly motivated, successful individual to help lead the National Greco-Roman Program throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Leads every aspect of the Greco-Roman program, including, but not limited to:

o Strategic direction

o Oversight of daily operations

o Fundraising and sponsorships to increase operating revenues

o Team competition and training schedules

o Acting as spokesperson for the program

o Formulating and managing the budget

o Putting together the annual and quadrennium training and competition plans

o Planning and oversight of local, regional, national, and international training camps and championship event preparation

o Supervision of staff and volunteer coaches, including staffing decisions

o Managing disciplinary problems & various issues with athletes

Other Expectations:

• Attendance at team training camps

• Participation on sports committee calls

• Attendance at World Championships, Olympic Games, Pan Am Championships, and Pan-Am Games events, in addition to select overseas events of significance (i.e., Olympic Qualification and Ranking Series Events) to support athletes and assess competition

• Work with USA Wrestling staff, coaches, athletes, and volunteer coaches to advance Greco-Roman programs

• Maintain consistent communication with all Greco-Roman stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials

• Work with the Greco-Roman National Team Coaches and National Coaches Education Program Manager to enhance the Greco-Roman portion of USA Wrestling’s Core Curriculum Series

• Represent USA Wrestling at international coaching clinics and conduct domestic grassroots promotional activities

• Work closely with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) Sports Performance Staff to apply sports science principles to the sport of wrestling

• Assist in execution and development of a recruiting program aimed at drawing top-level NCAA athletes to Greco-Roman wrestling national programming

• Recruit, cultivate, and support the Greco-Roman volunteer coaching pool

• Other duties as assigned

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher
Travel: Domestic and International travel is required

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to successfully pass a USA Wrestling background screening (prior to hire date)

• Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date

Hiring Pay Range:

• $70,000-$100,000 per year depending on experience, commensurate with qualifications and experience
