Delbarton (NJ), Edmond North (OK), Poway (CA), Stillwater (OK) reach today’s Gold Pool of National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic

The Gold Pool, which will determine the top four teams, was set on Wednesday at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic presented by Cliff Keen Athletic and Territory Resources.


The four winners of the pool competition advanced to the Gold Pool semifinals on Thursday morning: Pool A champion Stillwater (OK), Pool B champion Delbarton (NJ), Pool C champion Poway (CA) and Pool D champion Edmond North (OK). The finals and third-place matches in the Gold Pool will follow.


The Silver Pool (places 5-8), Bronze Pool (places 9-12) and Copper Pool (places 13-16) will also be completed on Thursday.


This new 16-team boys high school dual meet championships, featuring many of the nation’s top teams, is being held in historic Gallagher-Iba Arena on the campus of Oklahoma State.

The first session on December 22 will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and will be the semifinals for the Bronze Pool and the Copper Pool.


The second session on December 22 will be from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be the semifinals for the Gold Pool and the Silver Pool.


The third session on December 22 will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. and will be the placing matches for ninth to 16th place.


The final session on December 22 will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and will be the placing matches for first to eighth place.


Each of the competing teams will receive a private tour of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.


Teams will also attend a post-event banquet that includes presentation of awards and a roundtable discussion with Hall of Fame Distinguished Members Dan Gable and John Smith.
