Ivan R. Ivanov resigns as USA Wrestling’s General Manager, Greco-Roman Programs

by USA Wrestling

On Thursday, Ivan R. Ivanov resigned from his position as General Manager, Greco-Roman Program with USA Wrestling, the national governing body for wrestling in the United States, effective immediately.

USA Wrestling named Ivanov to this new position within its National Teams Department in April 2022. Ivanov has led the U.S. Greco-Roman program since joining the staff, including coaching the team at the 2022 Senior World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia in September, where it placed 21st in the team standings.

USA Wrestling’s Director of National Team High Performance Cody Bickley will oversee the Greco-Roman program on an interim basis at this time.

USA Wrestling has been conducting a national search to fill positions on the National Greco-Roman coaching staff and will announce more details on the Greco-Roman program structure as the hiring process is concluded.
