Mensah-Stock, Glaude, Anthony and Nette receive draws for Matteo Pellicone

ROME – Four women’s freestylers received their draws for this weekend’s competition at the Matteo Pellicone International in Rome, Italy, a UWW Ranking Series Event for the 2021 World Championships.

Women’s freestyle competition will begin Friday with four weights (57, 62, 68, 76) and wrap up on Saturday with the remaining six weights (50, 53, 55, 59, 65, 72). The tournament will be in one-day format.

Representing the USA is 2019 World champion Tamyra Mensah-Stock and 2018 U23 World bronze medalist Alex Glaude at 68 kg, two-time Senior World Team member Victoria Anthony at 50 kg and two-time U23 World Team member Abby Nette at 59 kg.

Below is who each U.S. athlete will face in their first match.

59 kg: Abby Nette (Tempe, Ariz./Sunkist Kids)
vs. Rebecca De Leo (Italy), fifth at 2018 Cadet European Championships

68 kg: Alexandria Glaude (West Sacramento, Calif./Titan Mercury WC)
vs. Mimi Hristova (Bulgaria), bronze at 2020 Individual World Cup
-OR- Nisha Nisha (India), 12th at 2019 U23 World Championships

68 kg: Tamyra Mensah-Stock (Colorado Springs, Colo./Titan Mercury WC/USOPTC)
