Match of the Day: Nick Gwiazdowski defeats Dom Bradley to claim a spot on his first World Team

Over the past quad, Nick Gwiazdowski has cemented himself as the man to beat at heavyweight. In 2017, Gwiazdowski punched through to make his first World Team. He followed it up with World Team appearances in 2018 and 2019 as well. In his three trips to the World Championships, Gwiazdowski, a three-time NCAA finalist and two-time champion for NC State, brought home bronze medals in 2017 and 2018. In 2020, he won the Pan Am Olympic Qualifier, securing an Olympic berth for Team USA.
To make his first World Team, Gwiazdowski downed a formidable opponent in Dom Bradley, a six-time National Team member. Bradley is a 2009 Junior World champion, a two-time U.S. Open champion (2013, 2016) and a 2019 Senior Nationals champion.
