Coon and Schultz to collide in first-round of Matteo Pellicone, 15 others receive draws in Greco-Roman

ROME – 17 Greco-Roman athletes received their draws for this weekend's competition at the Matteo Pellicone International in Rome, Italy, a UWW Ranking Series Event for the 2021 World Championships.
Seven Greco weights (55, 60, 63, 67, 87, 97, 130) will compete on Thursday, while the other three (72, 77, 82) will begin competition on Friday. The tournament will be held in a one-day format.
Representing the USA is 2018 Senior World silver medalist Adam Coon (130 kg), two-time Olympian Ben Provisor (82 kg), Cadet World champion and two-time Junior World medalist Cohlton Schultz (130 kg), past World Team members Ildar Hafizov (60 kg), Raymond Bunker (72 kg), Pat Smith (77 kg), RaVaughn Perkins (82 kg) John Stefanowicz (87 kg), Josef Rau (87 kg) and Patrick Martinez (87 kg) as well as Dylan Gregerson (60 kg), Sam Jones (63 kg), Jamel Johnson (67 kg), Peyton Walsh (77 kg), Terrence Zaleski (87 kg), Daniel Miller (97 kg) and West Cathcart (130 kg).
There is one USA head-to-head first-round matchup as Coon and Schultz will collide at 130 kg. It’s a rematch of the 2019 Final X best-of-three series, which Coon won.
