Match of the Day: G'Angelo Hancock defeats Hayden Zillmer to make his first Senior World Team

Over the past quad, G’Angelo Hancock became one of Team USA’s most consistent and dominant Greco-Roman wrestlers. A 2016 Junior World bronze medalist, Hancock made Senior World Teams in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He also qualified his weight class, 97 kg, for the Tokyo Olympic Games. In addition to competing on Senior World Teams, Hancock competed at a variety of age-group World Championships including the 2017 and 2018 U23 Worlds, and the 2017 Junior Worlds.
To make his first Senior World Team, Hancock squared off with Hayden Zillmer in the 2017 World Team Trials finals. Zillmer, a versatile and talented wrestler, has been on both the Greco-Roman and Men’s Freestyle National Teams.
