Amit Elor earns gold at the 2021 Junior Dumitru Pirvulescu & Vasile Iorga tournament in Bucharest, Romania

Over the weekend, 2019 Cadet World bronze medalist Amit Elor competed at the UWW Junior Dumitru Pirvulescu & Vasile Iorga tournament in Bucharest, Romania. Elor dominated her competition, picking up three technical falls in three matches to claim the 65 kg title.
In her opening bout, she downed Hungary’s four-time age group World Team member Noemi Szabados, 13-2. Szabados is the 2020 Hungarian Senior champion and a 2019 U23 European Championships bronze medalist.
In the semifinals, Elor rolled to a 10-0 victory over France’s Marielle Graff. She followed it up with another 10-0 win in the finals over Manola Skobelska of Ukraine. Skolbeska is a 2020 Kiev International Senior bronze medalist and recently took bronze at the International Ukrainian Tournament.
Elor, who was coached by Valentin Kalika of the NYC RTC, made both the 2021 Cadet and Junior World Teams last month.
