Top stars in all three styles to compete at Wisconsin RTC Underground 4, set for Wednesday, Feb. 24

The Wisconsin Regional Training Center is promoting its fourth card of the year, WRTC Underground 4, with a variety of matches in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and also a Greco-Roman battle. It will be held somewhere in Wisconsin on Wednesday, Feb. 24, and broadcast live on Rokfin at 7:00 p.m. CT.


The women’s bouts are also shaping up nicely. Two-time World medalist Alyssa Lampe will come in to face three-time Junior World medalist Erin Golston of the Wisconsin RTC. The newest member of the Wisconsin RTC, past Senior Nationals runner-up Michaela Beck, will battle multiple age-group World Team member Julia Salata in another Senior battle.


Two of the nation’s best high school stars, Mia Palumbo of Illinois and Rose Ann Marshall of Wisconsin, will also square off on this card.


There will be another high quality battle in the middleweights, with U23 National champion and NCAA All-American Evan Wick of the Wisconsin RTC taking on former Nebraska star Tyler Berger in men’s freestyle.


As has been popular lately, a few men’s freestyle wrestlers will compete in more than one match on this card. Junior World silver medalist Mitch McKee, a star at Minnesota when in college, and former Nebraska star Colton McCrystal have agreed to wrestle two times.


They will wrestle each other in one of the bouts. McKee will also wrestle former South Dakota State star Henry Pohlmeyer, while McCrystal has agreed to compete against Joe Zargo of the Wisconsin RTC.


Throw in young Wisconsin RTC star Braxton Amos, who has yet to start his college career at Wisconsin, facing former Nebraska star T.J. Dudley in another men’s freestyle tussle.


The Greco-Roman match pits Junior World Greco-Roman Team member Tyler Dow of the Wisconsin RTC against former Augsburg star Ryan Epps.


There has been regular updates on a daily basis on this card, so expect a few more bouts to drop in the next few days.
