Taylor Lujan dominated the 86 kg bracket of the U23 Nationals in Omaha last November. Lujan was the No. 1 seed going into last year’s NCAA tournament before its untimely cancellation. Now, the graduated UNI Panther is pursuing wrestling full time and already seeing major success. In October, Lujan took second in FloWrestling’s eight-man 195 pound bracket, netting 10 k for his performance.
At the U23 Nationals, Lujan was a man on a mission picking up four technical falls and a pin in five matches. In the finals, Lujan wrestled Purdue’s Max Lyon, a two-time NCAA qualifier.
