Bella Mir has been selected as the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by Air Force Special Forces
Bella Mir (Las Vegas, Nev./North Central College) has been named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by Air Force Special Warfare, on February 4, 2026.
In a dual that pitted the two NWCA National Dual winners against each other, Mir helped No. 3 North Central upend No. 8 Wartburg, 37-8. In the 145-pound match, Mir posted a 10-0 tech fall just 43 seconds into her match against 10th-ranked Anuyah Kelly.
Mir, who is ranked second in the NWCA Coaches Poll, has compiled a 7-1 record this season for North Central. Five of her seven victories for the Cardinals have come via tech fall.
In her collegiate career, Mir has two NCWWC National Championship appearances, finishing as the runner-up in 2025 and placing fifth in 2024.
Internationally, Mir is a two-time age-group World Team member. She appeared at the 2025 U23 World Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia. Mir also competed at the 2023 U20 World Championships in Amman, Jordan. Mir captured gold for the U.S. at the 2023 Grand Prix of Spain in Madrid.
