Quincy Monday has been selected as the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by Air Force Special Warfare

Quincy Monday (Princeton, N.J./New Jersey RTC/Titan Mercury WC) has been named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by Air Force Special Warfare, on January 14, 2026.


Monday collected his third career international gold medal this past weekend after winning the 74 kg division at the Yasar Dogu International in Antalya, Türkiye.


The native of Princeton, N.J., rolled into the gold medal match with a tech. fall, 10-0, in his opening match against Türkiye’s Umit Talha Uslu, followed by back-to-back falls against Ibragim Veliev of Belgium and Ali Manouchehr Karampour of İran.


In the championship contest, Monday upended 2024 U20 World Champion Ali Abbas Rezaei Aghouzgeleh of İran, 5-2.


Before the gold medal at the Yasar Dogu International, Monday finished atop the 74 kg podium at the Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov Tournament in January 2025 and the Grand Prix of Spain in July 2025.
