Two-time World medalist Macey Kilty will defend her 65 kg women’s freestyle spot on Team USA against U.S. Open champion Aine Drury at 2025 Final X on Saturday, June 14 at Prudential Center.

The Senior level series between the two has been dominated by Kilty, who holds a 4-0 record against the upstart Drury dating back to the 2023 U.S. Open semifinals. All four matches have resulted in technical falls, with Kilty outscoring Drury by a combined 43-1 tally. Kilty defeated Drury two matches to none in the best-of-three finals at the last year’s Senior World Team Trials. Most recently, she topped Drury in the semifinals of the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships.

Kilty is among the top U.S. stars in women’s wrestling as we enter the 2028 Olympic quadrennial. She has earned two World Championships medals on the Senior level—bronze in 2024 in Tirana, Albania, and silver in 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia. Kilty automatically qualified for Final X by way of earning a medal at the 2024 World Championships.

In addition to her Senior World medals, Kilty owns six medals from age-group World Championships—one gold, four silver and one bronze. She has competed on nine U.S. World Teams—two Senior, three U23, two U20 and two U17—going eight-for-nine on medals. Kilty is a two-time finalist at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials (2020, 2024) and the reigning Pan American champion.

By comparison, Drury could be considered a late bloomer on the Senior level circuit. She won a gold medal at the 2024 U23 Pan American Championships, her lone international event on record. Drury has placed top four at the last four U.S. Senior Nationals, and broke through last month at the U.S. Open Championships in Las Vegas to solidify her spot in Final X.

Kilty recently completed her first collegiate season with the University of Iowa women’s wrestling program where she claimed the NCWWC (NCAA programs) title at 145 pounds with a perfect 28-0 record, three pins and 21 technical falls. She was a graduate student at Iowa this year.

Drury is a two-time NCWWC All-American, including a national runner-up finish in 2024, for King University. She also competed one season at Cerritos College where she went undefeated en route to the 2023 CCCAA State Championship.

Final X will determine the 2025 U.S. World Team in two international disciplines—men’s freestyle and women’s freestyle. In total, 20 weight classes will be contested, 10 in each discipline. The top two U.S. athletes in each weight classes will wrestle a best-of-three series at Final X to determine the U.S. representative at the 2025 Senior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.

Kilty was Final X champion in 2023, which was also held at Prudential Center. She defeated two-time World bronze medalist Mallory Velte two matches to none. June will mark Drury’s first Final X appearance.

Final X will serve as the Beat the Streets New York Annual Benefit, the 15th BTSNY Annual Benefit to date. These unique electrifying events help BTSNY raise more than $1 million each year to support local youth wrestling programs which empower young people in New York City. The BTSNY Annual Benefit after-party will follow the conclusion of Final X.

Kilty’s 2-0 series win over Velte at 2023 Final X is her only Beat the Streets event appearance. Drury has not competed at a prior Beat the Streets event.
