The match order for 2025 Final X has been set ahead of Saturday night’s showcase at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Serving as main events are the men’s freestyle 86 kg matchup between Kyle Dake and Zahid Valencia and the women’s freestyle 57 kg series featuring Helen Maroulis and Amanda Martinez.

The Dake-Valencia contest is a rematch of the 2025 U.S. Open finals, won by Valencia. 8-4. Dake is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist and four-time World champion. Valencia won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships.

As the most-decorated U.S. women’s wrestler of all-time, Maroulis will close the show against the up-and-comer Martinez. Maroulis was the first Olympic champion in U.S. women’s wrestling history, is a three-time Olympic medalist, three-time World champion and seven-time World medalist. Martinez was a member of the 2021 U23 World Team and is a two-time Senior Nationals champion. The two have not wrestled since 2022, with Maroulis picking up a first-period pin in the match.

Final X will feature two mats on the arena floor. Men’s freestyle will run on Mat 1, located on the south end of the arena in front of sections 13 and 14. Women’s freestyle will run on Mat 2, located on the north end of the arena in front of sections 2 and 3.

The co-main event positions are occupied by Olympic star power. On the men’s freestyle side, 2024 Olympic silver medalist Spencer Lee takes on four-time age-group World medalist Luke Lilledahl at 57 kg. On the opposite mat, 2024 Olympic champion Amit Elor battles 2018 U23 World bronze medalist Alexandria Glaude at 72 kg in women’s freestyle.

A start-to-finish bout order for each style’s best-of-three series can be found below. Additionally, U.S. National Team true-third matches will be wrestled in weight class order, lowest to highest.

Of note, the men’s freestyle 61 kg series between Vito Arujau and Jax Forrest has been postponed to July 14 and will not be wrestled in Newark. Similarly, the women’s freestyle 50 kg true-third match between Anaya Falcon and Kendra Ryan will not take place. Falcon withdrew her name from the event, giving Ryan the U.S. National Team spot.

Final X will determine the 2025 U.S. World Team in two international disciplines—men’s freestyle and women’s freestyle. In total, 20 weight classes will be contested, 10 in each discipline. The top two U.S. athletes in each weight classes will wrestle a best-of-three series at Final X to determine the U.S. representative at the 2025 Senior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.

Final X will serve as the Beat the Streets New York Annual Benefit, the 15th BTSNY Annual Benefit to date. These unique electrifying events help BTSNY raise more than $1 million each year to support local youth wrestling programs which empower young people in New York City. The BTSNY Annual Benefit after-party will follow the conclusion of Final X.
