U.S. to send powerful team to Senior Pan American Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, May 8-11

USA Wrestling has announced its roster for the 2025 Senior Pan American Championships, set for Gimnasio Nuevo Leon Unido in Monterrey, Mexico, May 8-11. Team USA will send a powerful team loaded with Senior and age-group World medalists.
The competition begins with Greco-Roman, which will be held May 8-9. The USA will send its entire 2025 Senior World Greco-Roman Team, which consists of all of the champion from the recently completed Greco-Roman World Team Trials, as part of the CLAW U.S. Open in Las Vegas.
Leading the U.S. team are 2012 U.S. Olympian Ellis Coleman (63 kg), 2020 U.S. Olympian Alejandro Sancho, 2024 U.S. Olympian Kamal Bey (77 kg) and 2024 U.S. Olympian Payton Jacobson (87 kg). Coleman has competed at previous Senior World Championships, Bey at three Senior World Championships and Sancho at two Senior World Championships. Jacobson has made his first U.S. Senior World Team. Sancho was a 2024 Pan American champion, while Bey was a 2023 Pan American champion.
Cohlton Schultz (130 kg), who has competed at three previous Senior World Championships, is also on the team. The rest of the team will be competing on their first U.S. Senior World Team in September, Jayden Raney (55 kg), Max Black (60 kg), Alston Nutter (67 kg), Beka Melelashvili (82 kg) and Michial Foy (97 kg).
Three of the U.S. Greco stars are past age-group World champions, Schultz (2017 U17 gold), Bey (2017 U20 gold) and Raney (2024 U17 gold). Schultz has two other age-group World medals. Other age-group World medalists on the team are Coleman (2010 U20 bronze, 2011 U20 bronze), Nutter (2019 U20 bronze) and Melalashvili (2024 U23 silver).
Next up is women’s freestyle, which is set for May 9-10. 2024 Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades (68 kg) headlines the U.S. team. Also competing for Team USA is two-time Senior World medalist Macey Kilty (65 kg), who won a Senior World silver medal in 2023 and a Senior World bronze medal in 2024. 2024 Senior World bronze medalist Kylie Welker (76 kg) will also compete. Welker was also a 2021 Senior World Team member. Kilty and Welker are past Senior Pan American champions, Welker in 2023 and Kilty in 2024.
Blades and Welker are among the five members of the 2025 Pan American team who were 2025 U.S. Open champions last week in Las Vegas, along with Audrey Jimenez (50 kg), Amanda Martinez (57 kg) and Abigail Nette (59 kg). Nette was a 2022 Senior World Team member and won a CISM Military World silver medal in 2024.
Others on the U.S. women’s team are Jaslynn Gallegos (53 kg), Louisa Schwab (55 kg), SaVannah Cosme (62 kg) and Tiffany Baublitz (72 kg).
Past age-group World champions among the U.S. women are Kilty (2018 U17 gold), Blades (2021 U20 gold) and Welker (2021 U20 gold). Kilty has won six age-group World medals, Welker has won four and Blades has claimed three. Jimenez has won four age-group World medals during her career.
The Pan American Championships conclude with the men’s freestyle competition on May 10-11. The U.S. team is led by 2023 World bronze medalist Zahid Valencia (86 kg). Valencia was a 2022 Senior Pan American champion.
Valencia is one of six 2025 U.S. Open champions who will be competing in Monterrey, along with Jax Forrest (61 kg), Joey McKenna (65 kg), Evan Wick (79 kg), Trent Hidlay (92 kg) and Wyatt Hendrickson (125 kg). Two of the Senior Pan American Championships team members were 2025 U20 Nationals champions in Las Vegas, LaDarion Lockett (74 kg) and Justin Rademacher (97 kg).
Rounding out the U.S. men’s freestyle team are Liam Cronin (57 kg) and Ian Parker (70 kg).
Lockett and Hendrickson are past age-group World champions, with Lockett winning a 2023 U17 gold medal and Hendrickson claiming a 2023 U23 World title. Lockett also won a 2024 U20 World silver medal. McKenna and Hidlay are two-time age-group World medalists, while Forrest and Rademacher have won one age-group World medal.
The 2025 Senior Pan American Championships is part of the UWW Ranking Series, which is used to determine seeds for the Olympic Games, the Senior World Championships and the Senior Continental Championships, and also determines the UWW Best Athlete of the Year awards.
Also held in Monterrey on May 12-13 is the first stop of the 2025 UWW Beach World Series which will be hosted at Canchas Voleibol Playa. The USA will have a team competing in the Beach World Series Monterrey, with the team announced separately later this week.
