Week 13 delivered some of the most exciting moments of this college wrestling season. From Iowa taking down Ohio State to Minnesota continuing to dominate, fans have plenty to look forward to as we inch closer to the postseason. Check out a few moments from week 13.
Performance of the week
This week’s mention for top performance goes to Minnesota. The Golden Gophers scored six technical falls over Wisconsin in a dominant 39-3 win on Friday night. Max McEnelly (184), Vance VomBaur (141), Isaiah Salazar (197), Gable Steveson (285), Drew Roberts (149), and Andrew Sparks (165) all delivered stellar performances to secure largest margin of victory in Madison in program history.
Upset of the week
In a thrilling highlight for the Scarlet Knights on Friday night, No. 19 Dean Peterson of Rutgers defeated previously undefeated No. 6 Luke Lilledahl of Penn State, 4-1.
Dual of the week
This dual delivered everything a college wrestling fan could want, featuring another showdown between Parker Keckeisen and Dustin Plott, with two undefeated teams meeting on a Friday night. With over 6,000 fans filling the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, highlights included Northern Iowa’s fifth-ranked Cael Happel defeating No. 3 Tagen Jamison at 141 pounds and No. 11 Caleb Fish of OSU securing a 7-4 win against No. 4 Ryder Downey of UNI at 157 pounds.
Move of the week
North Central’s Nadia Thomas hit a monster four-point throw at the Warrior Open. Thomas went 3-2 overall and placed seventh, helping the Cardinals to a seventh place finish as a team.

Moment of the week
A bonus moment of the week for college wrestling fans! Rutgers’ Yaraslau Slavikouski, ranked seventh, sealed the win at 285 pounds in overtime over No. 10 Luke Luffman, pushing No. 14 Rutgers to a 16-15 win over No. 10 Illinois on Sunday.
