Pre-Seeds and Brackets Set for 2026 Ivy League Wrestling Tournament

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Ivy League has announced the pre-seeds and brackets ahead of the 2026 Ivy League Wrestling Tournament, set for Sunday, March 8 at Columbia’s Levien Gymnasium in New York City.
 
Cornell led the league with four No. 1 seeds: Vince Cornella (141), Jaxon Joy (149), Meyer Shapiro (157) and Simon Ruiz (174). Columbia, the 2025-26 Ivy League dual meet champions, had the second most with three: Cesar Alvan (165 pounds), Joe Curtis (184) and Vincent Mueller (285). Penn secured two No. 1 seeds, as Davis Motyka (125) and Evan Mougalian (133) each claimed the top spot in their respective weight classes. Brown’s Andrew Reall (197) rounds out the list of No. 1 seeds for the 2026 championship.

First-round action kicks off at 10 a.m. followed by the semifinals at 10:45 p.m. The consolation brackets begin at 12:30 p.m. with the consolation semifinals followed by the consolation finals and fifth-place matches at 1:15 p.m. Each of those sessions will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Championship matches, which begin at 4 p.m., will be aired nationally on ESPNews.
