Ranking committee seeks information on the best girls high school wrestling teams in the nation

USA Wrestling, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and FloWrestling work together on the National Girls High School Rankings for individual athletes and teams.

The committee which handles the ranking process has started its research for the National Girls High School Team Rankings for the 2024-25 season, with the first ranking scheduled for November 2024.

The committee is reaching out to coaches, parents and leaders with the nation’s best girls high school wrestling teams, seeking information on their athletes and program.

If you believe that your team deserves to be ranked this year, please send in the following information:

  1. Contact information for the head coach of the girls team (email and cell phone)
  2. The team’s projected starting lineup, with result information on the expected starters and their year in school (senior, junior, sophomore, freshman, etc.)
  3. The team’s schedule for the 2024-25 year
  4. Any other supporting data which can assist in the evaluation process
  5. A list of the best in-season girls high school wrestling tournaments in your area
  6. Other teams from your state/region that should be considered for a national ranking

At the end of the 2023-24 season, the committee announced the top 50 teams in the nation in girls high school wrestling, with 50 additional teams recognized with honorable mention selection.

Finishing in the Top Ten in 2023-24 were No. 1 Wyoming Seminary (Pa.), No. 2 Toppenish High School (Wash.), No. 3 Allen High School (Texas), No. 4 Cleveland High School (Tenn.), No. 5 team SLAM Academy (Nev.), No. 6 Lubbock Cooper High School (Texas), No. 7 Walnut High School (Calif.), No. 8 Bixby High School (Okla.), No. 9 Pomona High School (Colo.) and No. 10 Hernando High School (Fla.)

This is a new season. Should your team be ranked this year?

This ranking will include public and private schools at the high school level from all states, including states with official girls state championship events as well as those with unofficial girls state championships.

The committee thanks those dedicated coaches, team leaders and parents for sharing information about their teams, so the most deserving programs get recognized throughout the high school season.
