Dubuque RTC Duals Showcase, to feature top Greco-Roman action, set for October 5 in Dubuque, Iowa

The second annual WIBN Dubuque RTC Duals Showcase will return to the Stoltz Athletic Center at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, Saturday, October 5. The competition begins at 4:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on FloWrestling
This highly anticipated Greco-Roman wrestling event will feature a dual meet between wrestlers from the Dubuque RTC competing against a team from the Northern Michigan University – National Training Site. The Dubuque RTC team will be coached by World champion and Olympic silver medalist Dennis Hall. The NMU-NTS team is coached by two-time World medalist Andy Bisek.
The NMU-NTS team is led by Kenneth Crosby at 55 kg, who placed second in the 2024 Senior World Team Trials. Crosby was a 2023 U20 Nationals champion and was second in the 2023 U20 World Team Trials.
Landon Drury, who placed fifth in the 2023 U20 World Championships, will compete for NMU-NTS at 63 kg. Drury is a two-time Junior Nationals champion and was second in the 2024 U20 Nationals.
Riley Briggs, who was eighth in the 2023 Senior Nationals and was a 2023 Bill Farrell Memorial International champion, is on the NMU-NTS roster at 77 kg.
The Dubuque RTC team will feature a number of international Greco-Roman athletes who are living in the United States and began their competitive career in Europe. Among them are Khusein Rakhmonov at 67 kg. Rakhmonov was third in 2016 U17 European Championships for Russia. Competing at 72 kg is Loqui Amirkhonzod, who competed on the 2014 Senior World Team for Tajikistan and was ninth in 2020 Asian Championships.
Eli Pannell, a 2022 Junior Pan American Games bronze medalist and an All-American at the U20 and U23 age levels, will wrestle at 97 kg for the Dubuque RTC. Tyler Klein, who was fourth in the 2023 U20 World Team Trials, is at 55 kg for the Dubuque RTC.
Fans seeking an exciting dual meet featuring athletes who are Senior-level Greco-Roman athletes training for the 2028 Olympic Games should make sure to watch this event.
The event is being hosted by the Wrestlers In Business Network. Tickets cost $2.50 for WIBN members and $5 for those who are not WIBN Members. There will be a post-event Wrestlers In Business Network social at Q Casino, which is located at 1855 Greyhound Park Rd, Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
Last year’s Dubuque RTC World Class Showdown was a major success, with same teams competing against each other, and a few members of the Ukraine National Team.
