PJ Duke named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare

PJ Duke (Slate Hill, N.Y./KD Training Center) has been named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, on April 3, 2024.
Duke won the 160A weight class at the 2024 Journeymen World Classic in Schenectady, N.Y. last weekend. In his pool, Duke defeated both of his opponents by 11-0 technical fall in a total of 101 seconds between the two matches.
He reached the semifinals, where he defeated Grigor Cholakyan (Sunkist Kids Monster Garage), 10-0. In the finals, Duke was leading Germany’s Manuel Wagin 15-12, before getting the win by fall at 6:00.
Duke was named the Outstanding Wrestler and earned the hammer at the event. He has signed with NCAA champion Penn State.
