USA Wrestling to launch podcasts “Weighing In” and “Mat Chat”, hosted by David Mirikitani

USA Wrestling is excited to announce the launch of the “Weighing In” and “Mat Chat” podcasts hosted by David Mirikitani. The Weighing In podcast will feature a weekly roundup of the latest wrestling news from across the country, while Mat Chat will primarily consist of one-on-one interviews with various members of the wrestling community.
The first edition of Weighing In will be released this Friday, January 29, while Mat Chat will debut on Tuesday, February 2. The podcasts will be released regularly going forward on Fridays and Tuesdays respectively.
David Mirikitani is a nationally-known wrestling analyst and commentator and has done numerous podcast episodes in the past. He spent four years as the college rankings coordinator for Trackwrestling and has covered events ranging from the age-group level to the NCAA and World Championships. He is also the creator and president of the Missouri Border Brawl Charity Wrestling Meet.
As a wrestler, Mirikitani was a two-time NJCAA All-American competing for his father Ron Mirikitani at St Louis – Meramec. Additionally, he was a USA Wrestling Cadet Nationals champion and four-time All-American.
The podcasts’ live streams will be archived on USA Wrestling’s YouTube channel, and the audio files will be available through a variety of streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts.
