#TeamUSATuesday: Catching up with National Team member Desiree Zavala

On this edition of #TeamUSATuesday, we caught up with Desiree Zavala, No. 3 on the National Team at 62 kg. During the COVID-19 era, Zavala, a senior at Wayland Baptist, wrestled on three separate cards as well as the U23 Nationals, where she brought home a title, teching her way through the tournament. Zavala’s return to the mat came after a long layoff, where she was told by doctors that she might never wrestle again.
