Big Ten rivals Evan Wick and Danny Braunagel met outside collegiate competition in November, clashing in the U23 Nationals finals.

Wick, a three-time All-American currently taking an Olympic redshirt for Wisconsin, and Braunagel, a 2020 NWCA Honorable Mention All-American for Illinois, wrestled once last NCAA season with Wick winning by major decision in the 2019 Midlands Championships third-place match.
