Pin of the Week: Zeke Jones pins Olympic champion Namik Abdullaev for bronze at the 1995 World Championships

The 1995 World bronze medal match at 52 kg featured Zeke Jones, a 1991 World champion and 1992 Olympic silver medalist, squaring off with Azerbaijan’s Namik Abdullaev, the returning World silver medalist. At this point, Jones was towards the end of his career while Abdullaev was just beginning his.
Jones made one more World Team in 1997, finishing 11th. Abdullaev went on to take silver at the 1996 Olympic Games, gold at the 2000 Olympic Games, silver at the 1997 and 1998 World Championships and bronze at the 2006 World Championships.
