Early Bird Pre-Registration for Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals ends October 1, with strong sign-up so far

The Early Bird Pre-Registration deadline for the 2020 USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals, which provides a healthy discount on the entry fee, is fast approaching, set for October 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET.


This popular folkstyle national event will return to Hyvee Hall inside the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa, October 30 - November 1.


There are three deadlines for entry fee pricing which you should consider when making your plans.

The Early Bird Pre-Registration Deadline: October 1st, 11:59PM ET - $60


Response has already been very strong for the event, with 880 wrestlers from 39 states already registered. Competition is expected to be outstanding in all divisions, which include 11th-12th Grade High School boys, 9th-10th Grade High School boys, 9th-12th Grade High School girls 7th-8th Grade Middle School boys, 6th-8th Grade Middle School girls, 5-6th Grade Middle School boys, 3rd-5th Grade girls, 3rd-4th Grade boys, 1st-2nd Grade girls, 1st-2nd Grade girls.

The other registration deadlines to consider are:

Online Pre-Registration Deadline: October 25th at 11:59PM ET- $80

Late Online Registration Deadline: October 29th at 12:00pm ET - $100

Other important information about the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals:


• Participants competing at the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals will need to have a new 2020-21 membership, which is available at usawmembership.com


• The event will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.


• As part of this safety protocol, every person entering the venue may be subject to a daily screening (Athletes, Coaches, Spectators, Staff, Officials, Medical, Media…etc.) This will include a temperature check as well as an event questionnaire form.


• At the direction of several committees and local health authorities, we will be imposing a strict ONE pre purchased spectator ticket per athlete registered. No exceptions! This does not include coaches’ passes. Tickets must be purchased online in advance of the tournament. Each athlete will receive confirmation emails detailing instructions on how to purchase their one spectator ticket. A Weekend Pass ticket is $30 plus ticketing fees, and a Daily Pass is $20 plus ticketing fees.


• Teams will receive ONE complimentary coaches floor pass for every TEN athletes pre-registered into the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals. In order to receive complimentary coaches floor pass, please email Christina Hargrove at chargrove@usawrestling.org by Wednesday, October 21st.


• Coaches Bands/Coach Limit: Coaches passes will be sold ONLINE ONLY for $20 until Wednesday, October 28th. In order to ensure social distancing, ONE certified coach will be allowed in each competitor`s corner. To videotape any match at mat side, the operator must be the certified coach in the corner.


• Middle School and Below Coaches: Floor passes will only be issued to those individuals with a current USAW Leader Membership Card and are a minimum USAW NCEP Copper certified (photo I.D. required).


• High School Coaches: Floor passes will only be issued to those individuals with a current USAW Leader Membership Card and are a minimum USAW NCEP Bronze certified (photo I.D. required).
