Wisconsin RTC raises $1,400 for USA Wrestling women's program through virtual fundraiser

The Wisconsin RTC, one of the very active Regional Training Centers which provide opportunities for elite athletes to train, recently raised money which will benefit USA Wrestling's women's wrestling program.
During the month of August, the Wisconsin RTC's Cardio for A Cause fundraiser was held. Wisconsin RTC supporters tracked their exercise for the month.
The challenge was to get to 500 miles between August 1 and August 30. People registered individually or created teams of up to 10 racers, participating at their own pace.
The mission of the fundraiser was to promote equality and inclusion within our wrestling and surrounding communities.
When it was completed, a total of $1,400 was raised as USA Wrestling's portion of the proceeds. The donation has been received by USA Wrestling and will be used to support important women's wrestling projects.
USA Wrestling is extremely grateful for the Wisconsin RTC, their many supporters and everyone else who participated in Cardio for A Cause. This is appreciated and will be used to impact the women's program.
LETTER FROM THE WISCONSIN RTC
During the month of August, the Wisconsin RTC held the first annual Cardio for Cause fundraiser. The goal behind the virtual fundraiser was to promote exercise while raising funds for Women's Wrestling!
Today, we are happy to announce that through the Cardio for A Cause fundraiser, we were able to donate a portion to the USA Wrestling Women's Team!
Helping provide opportunities for Women in the sport of Wrestling is very important. The WRTC's female team member, Ronna Heaton has been able to take advantage of many opportunities provided to women by USA Wrestling!
Women's Wrestling has grown so much and I am extremely excited to see what the future holds for women's Wrestling! I look forward to the 2nd Annual Cardio for the Cause fundraiser and being able to provide more towards Women's Wrestling!
