UIL pushes back Texas high school wrestling season to January through April

In a posting of the 2020-21 Wrestling Calendar on its website today, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) has posted the wrestling schedule for boys and girls for the year ahead, pushing back the season a few months.
In a one-page pdf, the UIL published this about the wrestling season:
January 18: 1st day for minimum weight certification
February 15: 1st day for duals and tournaments
March 15: Two-pound growth allowance
March 27: Last day for weight certifications
April 10: District Certification
April 16 & 17: Regional Meet
April 23 & 24: State Meet
The document added this: "Additional information will be released at a later date concerning Invitational Tournaments, District, Regional and State Meets.
There was no press release on this, but it was mentioned on the UIL Twitter site, with this information: "New dates for Team Tennis and Volleyball postseason play, along with updated calendars for Swimming & Diving and Wrestling"
Editor's Note: The 2021 UIL State Wrestling Championships had been scheduled for Feb. 19-20 in Cypress, Texas.
