Alyssa Lampe claimed her second Senior World bronze medal in dominant fashion at the 2013 World Championships, with a first period fall over 2009 Junior World bronze medalist Melanie LeSaffre of France. This was Lampe’s second-straight World bronze medal, as she also made the podium in 2012.
Lampe took a hiatus from the sport in 2016, and reemerged in 2019. In December, she won the 2019 Senior Nationals. Later this week, she will compete in the 2020 Senior Nationals. Currently, Lampe is seeded second at 50 kg, behind 2018 World silver medalist Sarah Hildebrandt.
