Match of the Day: Emily Shilson and Salyna Shotwell wrestle in the UWW Junior Nationals finals

At the U23 and UWW Junior Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska, Emily Shilson won titles in both divisions, earning six technical falls, two pins and one decision. The only wrestler to go the distance with Shilson was Salyna Shotwell. The pair met in the Junior finals, with Shotwell recording three pins and a technical fall to advance through her side of the bracket.
Shilson is a 2018 Cadet World and Youth Olympic Games champion, a 2017 Cadet World silver medalist and a 2019 U23 World Team member. Shotwell is the 2020 Preseason Nationals champion and placed third in the 16U division at Fargo in 2019.
