One of the cool things about the UWW Junior age division (17-20 years old) is that you get to see top high school talent compete against some of the best college underclassmen in the nation.
There are 25 high school stars who appeared in the November 2020 National Girls High School Rankings who have registered for the UWW Junior Nationals in Omaha, Neb. this weekend. These athletes represent 14 different states across the nation.
These young stars are taking on the challenge of wrestling against college athletes as well as other respected high school wrestlers.
Included in the entry list are four No. 1 ranked high school wrestlers:
50 kg (110 lbs.) - Samara Chavez, senior, Arlington, Texas, Arlington Martin High School, ranked No. 1 at 112
62 kg (136.5 lbs.) - Chloe Ogden, senior, Geneva, Fla., Lake Highland Prep High School, ranked No. 1 at 138

72 kg (158.5 lbs.) - Kennedy Blades, junior, Broadview, Ill., Wyoming Seminary, ranked No. 1 at 164
Their performance in Omaha will not only affect their high school ranking, but will also allow them to raise their reputation as future recruits on the college level.
