Match of the Day: Kayla Miracle pins U23 World champion Grace Bullen in the Dave Schultz Memorial International finals

In the 62 kg women’s freestyle finals at the 2017 Dave Schultz Memorial International, Kayla Miracle faced a talented opponent in Norway’s Grace Bullen. At the time, Bullen was a 2014 Cadet World champion and 2017 Junior World bronze medalist. She was also a member of Norway’s 2015 Senior World Team.
Miracle was a 2012 Cadet World silver medalist and also earned bronze medals at the 2014 and 2016 Junior World Championships.
Both wrestlers continued adding to their impressive resumes following this match. Bullen made Senior World Teams in 2017, 2018 and 2019, with her highest placement being fifth in 2018. She also won a U23 World title in 2018.
Miracle made three U23 World Teams, placing fifth in 2017 and 2018 and earning a silver medal in 2019. She also made the 2019 Senior World Team and finished eighth at the World Championships.
