Match of the Day: Macey Kilty and Kennedy Blades wrestle at Who's Number 1

Since its inception in 2013, Flowrestling’s “Who’s Number 1” exhibition has pitted the top high school wrestlers in the country against each other. In 2018, wrestling fans were treated to a battle between Macey Kilty and Kennedy Blades.
Kilty, who was 17 at the time, is currently No. 3 on the National Team at 65 kg. Now 19 years old, Kilty has achieved an immense amount of age-group-level success, earning five World medals including a 2016 Cadet World bronze medal, a 2017 Cadet World title, Junior World silver medals in 2018 and 2019 and a 2019 U23 World silver. Kilty currently trains at the USOPTC in Colorado Springs.
Blades, a member of the 2019 Cadet World Team, was 15 when the match took place. Now 16, Blades is the No. 1 ranked wrestler at 164 pounds in the National Girls High School rankings. In 2019, she won both the 16U and Junior Nationals brackets at Fargo. She is a 2018 16U Fargo champion as well. Blades currently wrestles for Wyoming Seminary.
