by Mike Willis, USA Wrestling
Every summer, the top wrestlers in the country battle to bring home a coveted “stop sign” at the USMC 16U and Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, there will be no Fargo this summer.
If you’re still looking to get your wrestling fix in, USA Wrestling’s YouTube channel chock-full of excellent matches from a variety of Senior and age-group-level tournaments, including prior Junior and 16U Nationals.
Below, check out five Junior Nationals finals matches from the past five years:

This match has everything you could ask for, high-flying action, numerous lead changes and a ton of points being scored.
2016 – 285 pounds Brandon Metz (North Dakota) vs. Thomas Helton (Illinois)
Don’t blink, you might miss it. Who doesn’t love big guys launching people?
2017 – 113 pounds Brandon Kaylor (Washington) vs. Anthony Molton (Illinois)
Another barnburner. Both guys keep their feet on the gas pedal in an entertaining bout.
2018 – 126 pounds. Austin Almaguer (Washington) vs. King Sandoval (Virginia)
A high-paced bout with some come-from-behind action.
