Nine Americans set to compete at Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix in Russia

The U.S. delegation is sending nine American wrestlers to the Ivan Yarygin this week in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, including seven men’s freestylers and two women’s freestylers.
Included in the roster are four athletes that are fresh off competing at the Matteo Pellicone International, a UWW Ranking Series event held in Rome, Italy, last week.
2017 World silver medalist Thomas Gilman won the 57 kg title in Rome, while 2019 World Team member Pat Downey took bronze at 86 kg. Joey McKenna also competed, taking seventh at 65 kg.
Representing the women in Italy was two-time World Team member Victoria Anthony, who won bronze at 50 kg.
The other Americans set to wrestle this week include 2019 Junior World silver medalist Vito Arujau at 57 kg, 2019 Pan Am Games bronze medalist Jaydin Eierman at 65 kg, 2017 U23 World Team member Sammy Brooks at 86 kg, Brett Pfarr at 86 kg and two-time Senior World Team member Forrest Molinari at 68 kg in women’s freestyle.
