TigerStyle’s Bradley to Wrestle Hemida at Wrestling’s Dual vs. Iowa State

Columbia, Mo. – Mizzou Wrestling volunteer assistant coach Dom Bradley (Sunkist Kids/Missouri RTC) will wrestle Youssif Hemida (New York AC/Cliff Keen WC-Michigan RTC) of the University of Maryland at halftime of Mizzou's dual vs. Iowa State on Feb. 22, held at the Hearnes Center. This exhibition bout will be a traditional match with three rounds, lasting a total of six minutes. This is a chance for both wrestlers to warm up for the Olympic Trials later this spring, while offering Mizzou Wrestling fans a look at an elite-level US national team bout. Mizzou is offering an exciting family four-pack for that dual as a four-pack of tickets can be purchased for the low price of just $35.

The Olympic Wrestling Team Trials will be at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center on April 4-5. The winners will compete for the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, if qualify at their respective weight classes. Bradley earned a spot on the Olympic Trials with his 3-2 title win over Anthony Nelson.

Bradley, from Blue Springs Mo, lettered at Mizzou from 2009-13 and took an Olympic redshirt in 2012. He has been competing in USA Wrestling events for six years (2009-12 & 2015-18). Bradley has recently began his coaching career and will make one last run at an Olympic Team.

Bradley's Career Highlights include:

  • Two-time Pan American champion (2016-17)
  • Junior World champion (2009)
  • Two-time Dave Schultz Memorial International champion (2012, 2017)
  • Third at U.S. Olympic Team Trials (2016)
  • Second in U.S. World Team Trials (2017)
  • Third at U.S. World Team Trials four times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2015)

Youssif Hemida was awarded the 2018 U23 World Silver Medal in Romania. At 125 kg, Youssif Hemida battled 2015 Junior World champion Said Gamidov from Russia. Hemida was the New York State Champion in 2015 before signing on at the Home of the Terrapins in 2015. Hemida is an NCAA All-American (2018), an NCAA Qualifier (2017,2018,2019), and Big Ten Placer (2017-7th, 2018-6th, 2019-3rd).
