Match of the Day: Clarissa Chun defeats Olympic champion Irina Merleni to win bronze at the 2012 Olympic Games

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England, Clarissa Chun became the fourth American to earn a medal in women’s freestyle, taking bronze at 48 kg. Chun, a 2008 World champion, previously finished fifth at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
In the bronze medal match, Chun squared off with a familiar opponent, 2004 Olympic gold medalist Irina Merleni of Ukraine. Merleni had defeated Chun for bronze in the 2008 Games. Additionally, Merleni was a three-time World champion and two-time World silver medalist.
Chun currently serves as the National Women's Freestyle Assistant Coach.
