Seven U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers to compete at S.A. Lavrikov Cup in Russia this weekend

A group of seven U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete in the S.A. Lavrikov Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia, Nov. 22-24.
The team will be coached by past Olympic coach Jay Antonelli, who is a former head coach of the U.S. Marine Corps, and has served as a coach at the U.S. Naval Academy.
Three of the athletes are past U.S. Senior Open All-Americans.
Chris Anderson (Houston, Texas/Williams Baptist), who wrestles at 63 kg, is a two-time U.S. Open placewinner, taking seventh in 2016 and eighth in 2019.
At 87 kg, George Sikes (Fort Pierce, Fla./NMU-OTS) was seventh in the 2019 U.S. Open. He was also a 2018 U23 World Team Trials champion.
Conor Karwath (Gonzales, La./Williams Baptist), who placed eighth at the 2018 U.S. Open, will wrestle at 130 kg.
Three athletes on the tour are past age-group National placewinners, with all having placed at the U23 level: Erik Spence (Elk Grpve, Calif./NMU-OTS) at 67 kg, Riley Briggs (Brentwood, Calif./NMU-OTS) at 67 kg and Keaton Fanning (Bedford, Texas/NMU-OTS) at 87 kg
This is a strong competition, with athletes from Russia as well as a number of tough Scandinavian and other European countries.
