#ThrowbackThursday: See Ben Askren's bout in first Beat the Streets event on the Intrepid in 2010

In 2010, Beat the Streets created an exciting new event, the Battle on the Intrepid, which was a seven-match Senior-level wrestling card, held on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Intrepid, docked in New York City harbor.


The event was created to raise money for youth wrestling in New York City and help promote wrestling in an outdoor iconic location. The event was a huge success and helped change the sport of wrestling in many positive ways.


One of the seven matches on the card featured 2008 Olympian Ben Askren against National Team member Moza Fay. We bring you this match today.


Askren is competing in the main event of the 10th Beat the Street Gala competition, the Grapple in the Garden, on Monday night against Olympic champion and four-time World champion Jordan Burroughs.
