JOB OPPORTUNITY: USA Wrestling Utah seeks full-time Women’s Director

USA Wrestling Utah, the USA Wrestling state association in Utah, is seeking quality candidates for a Women’s Director, a new full-time position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Women’s Full Time Director


USA Wrestling Utah is a non profit organization that manages amateur wrestling in the state of Utah. We are looking for someone that is driven and detailed oriented that can grow all aspects of women’s wrestling in Utah.


• Job status: full time (must be primary), entry level position

• Work schedule: Monday-Friday with many events on the weekend that will require work on the weekend

• Location: Utah County based, office is located in Orem but many events will be all over Utah and other states. Expectation will be to work from the office in Orem

Job description


The primary duty of the Women’s Director will be to grow women’s wrestling in Utah. The Women’s Director will work closely with the Executive Director to develop a plan for this growth. One of the first duties will be to work to get women’s wrestling sanctioned at the High School level. This position will primarily be broken down into three categories; gear sales, event management, and national teams. Each category is discussed below.


1. Gear sales. The Women’s Director will work with our Gear Director to sell gear to all women’s teams across the country as well as in Utah. This will include making sales and helping to come up with designs.

2. Event management: The Women’s Director will be responsible to run all girl events in Utah and help grow tournament participation among females as well as help with all events as needed in Utah

3. National Teams: The Women’s Director will be responsible for developing our women's national team by holding practices, clinics and camps as well as traveling with our women’s teams to duals and competitions.

Required Skill Sets


• Good people skills

• Must have wrestled in college or higher level or have a knowledge to coach & teach high level wrestlers in the state of Utah

• Must be able to run national team level practices

• Patient, customer service oriented

• Detailed oriented
