Forrest Molinari to compete at Yasar Dogu International this weekend

2019 U.S. Senior Women’s World Team member Forrest Molinari will be the only American female to represent at the Yasar Dogu International this weekend, which is the last of the UWW Rankings Series event this season.

Competitors can earn placement points towards their seeds at the 2019 World Championships. The four wrestlers with the most placements points per weight class will be seeded accordingly at the World Championships in Kazakhstan in September.

Currently ranked No. 4 in the world, Molinari has already guaranteed herself a top-four seed for the World Championships. This weekend, she has the opportunity to earn as high as to the No. 2 seed.

A two-time World Team member, Molinari will compete on the first day of competition, Thursday, July 11. The tournament will go through the semifinals on Thursday, and the medal matches will take place on Friday.

In international competition this season, Molinari won bronze at the Dan Kolov International and took fifth at the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix. Both are UWW Rankings Series events.
