Derek White and Jacobe Smith gave the Cowboys a late push with two first-period falls after Daton Fix and Kaid Brock picked up bonus-point wins in their matches.
Fix earned his 11th technical fall this season with a 22-7 win over Princeton's Jonathan Gomez. The Cowboy scored 10 takedowns in the bout with four coming in the final period. Brock nabbed the Pokes' second bonus-point win of the match when he defeated Marshal Keller, 16-2. Half of his points in the match came in the final period.
Smith notched a fall in the first period of his bout with Kevin Parker, and Derek White domination at heavyweight continued when he notched a fall in just more than two minutes over Obinna Ajah. White now has five falls on the season.
The Cowboys held only a three-point lead through six matches. Kaden Gfeller suffered his first loss of the year to the top-ranked wrestler at 149 pounds. Matthew Kolodzik defeated Gfeller, 8-3. Jonce Blaylock stepped in at 157 pounds, and Andrew Shomers bumped to 165. Both of them fell in close decisions. Dakota Geer faced No. 3 Patrick Brucki at 197 pounds, where he lost an 8-4 decision.

Kolodzik, Brucki stay perfect, though No. 3 Oklahoma State earns 6-4 split in 27-12 win
Matthew Kolodzik completed a perfect weekend over Top-6 competition with an impressive 8-3 win over 6th-ranked Kaden Gfeller, while younger teammates Quincy Monday and Leonard Merkin added thrilling wins in an exciting 27-12 loss to #3 Oklahoma State in Jadwin Gym.
Sophomore Patrick Brucki added a 19th victory to his unblemished record in front of nearly 1,000 fans at Jadwin, the site of two thrillers for the 25th-ranked Tigers this weekend. On Friday night, Princeton upset #15 North Carolina in a 23-16 victory.
Kolodzik had a highlight effort against the Tar Heels with a 3-2 win over 5th-ranked Austin O'Connor, and he was even more dominant against the reigning Big 12 Wrestler of the Week. Kolodzik had a takedown in every period and was in full control of his 8-3 win.
Freshman Quincy Monday followed that with a thrilling finish over Jonce Blaylock. Monday scored a pair of takedowns in the first period, and then used a long ride that earned the decisive riding time point in a 6-5 win. The moment had extra drama when Oklahoma State challenged for a takedown in the final five seconds, but the call stood after review and Princeton took the win.
Leonard Merkin moved up to 165 and claimed a wild 9-8 thriller over Andrew Shomers, the 18th-ranked wrestler at 157 entering the weekend. It was your standard Merkin match that left the entire gym exhausted, but he fought out of a late scramble to claim the victory.
Oklahoma State clinched the dual with back-to-back wins, but the third Top-10 match of the day came at 197, and Brucki moved to 19-0 with an 8-4 victory over 10th-ranked Dakota Geer. Brucki set the pace early with a trio of first-period takedowns, and he added one more late to secure the win.
The first Top-10 match came in the opener, as Princeton freshman Patrick Glory went up against 4th-ranked Nick Piccanninni. Glory sent an early jolt into Jadwin with a quick takedown, but the Oklahoma State veteran used a pair of near falls in the second to take control in a 10-4 win.
Princeton will now break for finals before turning its attention to the Ivy League season, which opens Feb. 2 with a pair of home duals in Dillon Gym against both Harvard and Brown. Both will be streamed live on ESPN+.
