Looking for something positive to add to your resolution list for 2020? Why not add “Dan Gable University” to the list?


The first video in the USA Wrestling Legends Series is Dan Gable University, featuring Olympic gold medalist, world champion, two-time NCAA champion and Hall of Fame Distinguished Member Dan Gable, was released on November 27.


The series contains 26 chapters and more than three hours of interviews, history, tips, and tales with Coach Gable in his home, his cabin, at the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame, and a tour in his home town of Waterloo, Iowa.


“Our executive director, Rich Bender, walked into my office two years ago and said he’d been speaking with Coach Gable about cementing his legacy in our sport,” said Mike Clayton, the USA Wrestling NCEP Manager. “His vision was to create an educational and fun program that anyone inside or outside of our sport would enjoy. We met with Coach Gable on six different visits over two years to create this amazing series of stories. As an Iowa kid myself, working and learning with Coach Gable was a dream come true!”
