Men's and women’s freestyle 3rd-5th-7th medal-match results from Senior Nationals in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas - All six men’s freestyle weight classes and the final three women’s freestyle weight classes contested their third-place, fifth-place and seventh-place matches from the Senior Nationals during the morning session at the Fort Worth Convention Center.


In addition to determining medal placement, the top five placewinners at each weight class qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Penn State in April. If an athlete in the top five had already qualified for the Olympic Trials, no other athlete moves up to take that place.


Based upon the action at these second set of nine weight classes during Friday and Saturday, there are 40 more athletes who will advance to the Olympic Trials.


These matches also are important in the team competition, with men’s freestyle and women’s freestyle completing on Sunday afternoon.


The gold-medal finals will be live on Flowrestling at 3:00 p.m. CT
