This afternoon, Daniel “Greg” Kerkvliet announced on his Instagram that he will be attending Penn State University. Kerkvliet spent time his senior year training at the OPTC with the Elite Accelerator program.
Considered by many wrestling outlets to be the No. 1 recruit in the 2019 class, Kerkvliet announced he intended to transfer from Ohio State University, where he was slated to be a freshman, in early November.
Kerkvliet has made four age-group-level World Teams and competed at three World Championships. He is a 2017 Cadet World champion and a 2018 Cadet World silver medalist. In October, Kerkvliet placed fifth at the U23 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
