Figueroa, Guerin, Boyd, Kilty, Fiske receive draws for day two of women’s freestyle at Junior Worlds

Macey Kilty, a three-time age-group World medalist, hits the mats for Team USA on Thursday.
TALLINN, Estonia – The final five U.S. women’s freestyle wrestlers have received their draws for the UWW Junior World Wrestling Championships, and will begin competition on Thursday.
2018 Cadet World champion and three-time age-group World medalist Macey Kilty (Stratford, Wis./Sunkist Kids) will open her competition at 65 kg/143 lbs. against 2016 Mediterranean Junior champion Nerea Pampin Blanco of Spain.
Kilty was also a 2018 Junior World silver medalist and a 2016 Cadet World bronze medalist. Kilty is a member of the Senior Women’s National Team, at No. 3 on the ladder.
Two-time age-group World medalist Alara Boyd (Yorktown, Ind./CIA will battle 2018 Asian Junior champion Irina Kuznetsova of Kazakhstan at 62 kg/136.5 lbs.
Boyd won a 2017 Cadet World silver medal and a 2016 Cadet World bronze medal and is a rising freshman for McKendree University.
2016 Cadet World bronze medalist Gracie Figueroa (Selma, Calif./Titan Mercury WC) will open against Rahime Ari of Turkey at 53 kg/116.5 lbs. Ari was fifth in the 2014 and 2015 Cadet World Championships.
She has been on three past U.S. Cadet World Teams, and will be competing on her second U.S. Junior World Team. Figueroa was a WCWA National champion for Menlo College this year.
The other two U.S. athletes starting on Thursday have also been on U.S. age-group World Teams.
2017 Junior World Team member Cameron Guerin (Yakima, Wash./Titan Mercury WC/EAP) will wrestle at 57 kg/125.5 lbs. She opens against 2019 Pan American Junior champion Ana Luiza Perreira Franca of Brazil.
Guerin placed fifth in the 2017 Junior World Championships and has twice been third at the U.S. Senior Open.
2018 Junior World Team member Alyvia Fiske (Napa, Calif./Titan Mercury WC) has a bye in the first round at 72 kg/158 lbs. She will draw the winner of Johanna Meier of Germany and Zsuzsanna Molnar of Slovakia. At the 2019 European Junior Championships, Meier was fifth and Molnar was seventh.
Fiske will compete at the 2019 U23 World Championships in October. Fiske placed second at the 2019 Final X and won a U.S. Senior Open title in 2019. She is a WCWA All-American for Simon Fraser.
Competition begins at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in Tallinn, which is seven hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern time zone. All of the competition is live on Trackwrestling.
